Surprisingly, the body armor market for civilians and non-military users. Plate carriers and body armors are the most common products when it comes to firearms protection for civilians. Literally, you find ads and booths everywhere advertising the sales of plate carriers and body armor. Honestly, there are wide options available in the market, so much that it is easy to get overwhelmed or misinformed with all of these. But first, it is important to address the elephant in the room. Are there some kinds of plate carriers that civilians cannot use?

The quick answer is no. First things first, it is not illegal for civilians to own or purchase a body armor, plate carrier, tactical vest, or a bullet proof vest. However, it is important to state that there are different state laws and international regulations on the use of body armor. Nonetheless, the Federal law of nations like USA allows for the usage and purchase of all kinds of body armor and ballistic protection vests.

However, there is the notable exception of sale and usage for convicted felons. People under this category are not allowed to own body armor or buy plate carriers online. The only exception to this is when a convicted felon requires the use of a plate carrier or body armor for a job. This can only be granted such a one provided that there is a written permission from the employer or organization.

Now, there are some states that are making plans to enact certain laws that might make it very difficult for non-military users to purchase different forms of body armor. This is why it is very much advised for you to make your purchase as soon as you can. For now, there are no restrictions as to the kind of plate carriers you can purchase.
